Why do we need a Friends Group?

By joining the “Friends of Ashby Museum” your subscription will help to finance and maintain the improved facilities offered by your museum.

We need volunteers to help with cataloguing, and to assist as custodians in the reception / shop.  You can become involved in helping to run the Friends’ organisation. By joining, you register your support and make a worthwhile contribution to the future of your museum.

Friends of Ashby Museum will receive a newsletter, participate in outside visits, have free individual entry to the museum and be given priority in booking for walks, talks and events organised by the museum.  Friends will also be able to use museum reference material for private study and be invited to previews of exhibitions.

Friends Events

Coffee mornings Start 10.30 am at the Museum. These friendly events offer the chance to chat over a cuppa but there will also be entertainment in the form of a local speaker talking about their life and/or work in Ashby or a something similar on a topic of local interest.
