How can we help you? If you are tracing your Ashby ancestors we have at your disposal local census, parish and cemetery records. Most local families can be traced using our database. Our volunteers who have prodigious memories can often add local details to put flesh on the bones of your forebears. If you want to know where your ancestors lived, our catalogued photographs collection is at your disposal with over 1,200 images of the town. If you are unable to visit our museum personally we offer a research service by email or mail; please enquire. If you are tracing the history of your house please make use of our collection of maps, plans and street directories. Again the photo collection is at your disposal. If you would like to know more about the history of our town we have an extensive library of books and documents as well as published articles and research collections. We also recommend you come on one of our Guided Walks during the summer or at any time for groups by prior arrangement. Telephone: +44 (0)1530-560090 Contact details:
