Wednesday Morning Coffee Mornings and Talks

These events are organised by The Friends of Ashby de la Zouch Museum. Coffee mornings start at 10.30 am at the Museum. These friendly events offer the chance to chat over a cuppa but there will also be entertainment in the form of a local speaker talking about their life and/or work in Ashby or something similar on a topic of local interest.

Free Family Fun Day

 
    To coincide with the national Festival of British Archaeology, we will be looking at the industrial archaeology of the area.  We will have an archaeologist with an electron microscope, displays and hands-on fun looking at the pottery, soap making, biscuits and other industries of the area.   This will be for adults as much as children.
